GWU Men's Soccer to Face Off with N.C. State on Tuesday Night, Before Returning Home to Host Radford Saturday Night at 7 p.m.

Boiling Springs, N.C. - The Gardner-Webb men's soccer team will wrap up a six-match road trip on Tuesday night at N.C. State, before returning home for the first time since August 27th to host the Radford Highlanders on Saturday night at 7 p.m. at Greene-Harbison Field.
The Runnin' Bulldogs are still searching for its first win of the season having played Longwood to a 0-0 double overtime scoreless draw in GWU's last outing. In fact, the Runnin' Bulldogs' last three matches have all gone extra time, as Gardner-Webb's offense has struggled to produce this season.
GWU, who is slated to take on the Wolfpack of N.C. State on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. in Raleigh, N.C., is 0-5 versus the Wolfpack all-time with these two teams last meeting back in 2008. Gardner-Webb is 1-18-0 all-time versus the ACC with the lone win coming back in 2009 over Clemson, 1-0.
After climbing into the national rankings two weeks ago with a 6-0 start to the season, the Wolfpack have dropped three straight matches and enter Tuesday night's match on a three-match losing streak. N.C. State is 1-1 versus the Big South Conference this season.
For the first time in over a month, the Runnin' Bulldogs will be in action at home on Saturday night, as GWU will host the Radford Highlanders at 7 p.m.
Heading into play Saturday night, GWU will be 0-0-1 in conference play on the year. The Runnin' Bulldogs have posted a winning record in conference play in each of its four seasons as a Big South Conference member and sits at 19-12-2 overall in the Big South heading into the 2012 season.
The Runnin' Bulldogs are 5-2-1 all-time versus Radford on the pitch in men's soccer action and has not loss to Radford since 2007, having posted a 3-0-1 record over the last four meetings, all of which came in Big South Conference play.
The Highlanders, who also play out of conference on Tuesday night, are 3-2-2 on the year and is coming off a huge 2-1 home win over Campbell last week to start its conference slate.
