Runnin' Bulldogs Earn No. 4 Seed, Will Host Radford At 6:00 PM Tuesday

Gardner-Webb (9-7-1, 6-4 Big South) enters the Big South Conference Tournament with momentum, winning five of its last six matches. Setzer has directed his team to a 4-2-1 mark at home in 2013.
Radford (8-6-4, 5-3-2 Big South) topped the Runnin' Bulldogs in overtime during their regular season meeting on October 5 in Virginia.
Gardner-Webb has gotten electric play from rising star Denzel Clarke this season. The Atlanta, Ga., junior leads NCAA Division I with 16 goals and has turned in a school Division I-record three hat tricks so far this season. The emergence of talented newcomer Ali Al-Gashamy has been beneficial for Clarke's scoring binge - with Al-Gashamy dropping off seven assists on the season and scoring four goals himself.
All told, eight different Runnin' Bulldogs have scored goals this season, helping the team to 31 goals overall - up from just 13 goals in 2012. GWU ranks fourth in the Big South in scoring this season, but has also been effective and physical defensively with five shutouts.
Keeper Matthew Swan, one of the league's top freshmen, ranks among the nation's best with 89 saves and has protected the net at a high level in several of Gardner-Webb's biggest wins of the season.
