
GWU Men's and Women's Swim Teams Earn CSCAA Team Scholar All-America Award for 2013 Spring Semester

Boiling Springs, N.C. - Gardner-Webb's men's and women's swimming programs were recently named in CSCAA's listing of Division I institutions earning the Team Scholar All-America Award after each squad posted a cumulative team GPA above 3.0 following the 2013 spring semester.
GWU's women's swim team continued its tradition of success in the classroom this past semester, posting a 3.47 cumulative team GPA to earn Scholar All-America status for the 26th consecutive semester.
The women's squad, which has posted a GPA of 3.0 in both semesters for 13 years in a row, tied for the 27th highest GPA nationally this semester.
The Runnin' Bulldog men tied with Duke University for the 20th best GPA in Division I following 2013's spring semester, recording a team GPA of 3.27. The honor marks the seventh consecutive Scholar All-America year for Gardner-Webb's men's swim team, each year of its existence dating back to the 2007-08 season.
