Andrew Tulowitzky Joins GWU Staff as Director of Basketball Operations

BOILING SPRINGS - Gardner-Webb University announced that Andrew Tulowitzky has taken over as Director of Basketball Operations for the 2013-2014 season.
Tulowitzky joins the Runnin' Bulldogs from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, where he worked as an assistant coach for the past five seasons. In his new role at Gardner-Webb, Tulowitzky will oversee all daily operations, supervise the teams's managerial staff and head up the video exchange and editing program - as well as other duties as assigned by head coach Tim Craft.
"Andrew will fit in well with our operations position and has handled a wide range of duties on and off the court in his previous role at Oglethorpe," said Craft. "We are very excited to add him to our staff."
Tulowitzky's time in Atlanta on the bench helped Oglethorpe achieve heavy improvement. The Stormy Petrels won 16 games this past season and posted a combined 46 wins over the previous three seasons.
As a player, Tulowitzky was a four-year starter at Oglethorpe, ranking among the top-5 career leaders in several statistical categories. He made 85.8 percent of his free throws over a four-year span, ranking third - and ranks fourth in 3-point shooting percentage and 3-pointers made.
He finished his career with 1,149 points and earned first-team All-SCAC honors as a senior. The sharpshooter had a game on January 2, 2007, that saw him drain 11-of-11 shots from the floor and all seven of his 3-point chances - setting school and SCAC records for accuracy.
Tulowitzky graduated from Oglethorpe in May, 2007, with a B.S. in business administration.
