
Gardner-Webb's January 8 Game vs. Radford To Air Live On ESPNU

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – ESPNU has selected the Radford at Gardner-Webb men's basketball contest scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 8 as its Big South Wildcard Selection broadcast, it was announced today by the Big South Conference office.
Game time will be 7:00pm inside Paul Porter Arena in Boiling Springs, N.C.
Gardner-Webb is currently No. 31 in the NCAA RPI and defeated Clemson and College of Charleston earlier this season. It will be the Runnin' Bulldogs' first Big South game on ESPNU.
Radford, which won at Virginia Tech earlier this month, will play a League contest on ESPNU for the third time in two years, as the Highlanders played twice on the 24-hour college sports network in 2013-14.
Gardner-Webb won last year's meeting in overtime, a 73-72 road victory on Feb. 1. GWU is led by Jerome Hill, who ranks third in the Big South with 18.9 points per game and second with 9.2 rebounds per contest.
Radford's top player is Javonte Green, who leads the League with 9.6 boards while averaging 12.8 points. He is one of six players in Big South history with 1,500 career points (1,501) and 800 career rebounds (843).
The Radford at Gardner-Webb game is the first of four Big South ESPNU Wildcard broadcasts this season. ESPNU also has Wildcard broadcasts scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 22 at 7:00pm, Friday, Feb. 6 at 9:00pm and Thursday, Feb. 26 at 7:00pm, and those selections will be determined three weeks in advance.
