
Byrum Earns CCSA Swimmer Of The Week Honors

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Gardner-Webb senior Charity Byrum (Winston-Salem, N.C./Lewisville Christian) has been named the Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association's Swimmer of the Week for the meets contested Dec. 2–7, announced the CCSA Tuesday.
Byrum garnered weekly honor for her performances at the AT&T USA Swimming Winter Nationals at the Greensboro Aquatic Center. in Greensboro, N.C.
At the Winter Nationals, Byrum qualified for her first national finals and swam an NCAA "B" cut in the 100 breast with a lifetime best time of 1:02.15. Her time was the second-fastest swim in program history. Byrum also swam in the 50 free, finishing with a time of 23.99.
The Runnin' Bulldogs have completed their fall portion of the schedule and will return to action on Jan. 10 when the women host Georgia Southern in a dual meet.
