Gardner-Webb Tabbed Eighth In Big South Conference Preseason Poll

CHARLOTTE --- Gardner-Webb is picked to finish eighth in the Big South Conference its first season of competition, announced League officials Tuesday with the release of the 2015 Big South Conference Preseason Women's Lacrosse Poll.
Gardner-Webb begins its inaugural women's lacrosse season in just 11 days, hosting NCAA Division II powerhouse Limestone College on Saturday, February 7. Players and coaching staff alike are eager to get on the field, having spent the past several months preparing both on and off the field.
Defending regular season High Point is picked to repeat this spring, receiving seven first-place votes and a total of 63 points. Winthrop is second with one first-place vote and 52 points, while Longwood is close behind in third with 49 points. Liberty is fourth with 35 points, followed by Coastal Carolina (33), Campbell (30), Presbyterian (15) and Gardner-Webb (11).
Gardner-Webb opens the 2015 on Saturday, February at 2:00 pm when the Runnin' Bulldogs host NCAA Division II powerhouse Limestone College at Spangler Stadium.
