Nathan Lile Honored as CCSA Men's Swimmer of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Senior Nathan Lile, of Waynesville, N.C., was named the CCSA Men's Swimmer of the Week this afternoon as selected by the league office.
Lile was honored with his award for a second time this year based off of his dominance this past weekend winning three events as the Runnin' Bulldogs faced off against the #28 men's swim team in the nation Virginia Tech and last years CCSA champion men's swim team UMBC.
Lile finished first in the 50 free, 100 free, and 100 fly with times of 20.74, 46.05, and 50.11 respectively this past weekend. Head Coach Mike Simpson had this to say about Lile's performance, "Nathan was very focused this weekend knowing that the competition would be of a high caliber and he showed up and really preformed." Lile also aided Gardner-Webb to a third-place finish in the 200 Medley Relay.
The Gardner-Webb men's swim team will be back in action this Saturday, November 7th, as they face off against East Carolina University.
