Lile Wins Again Highlighting Men's Swimming Day Two of the Fall Frenzy Invitational

ROCK HILL, S.C.- Nathan Lile continues to impress as he took home the number one spot in the 100 fly this evening highlighting a strong day in the pool for the Gardner-Webb men's swim team at the Fall Frenzy Invitational.
Lile's lightning in a bottle type speed earned him a time of 48.27 beating out former Olympian Dion Dressens who currently swims for Queens University in Charlotte.
Tyler Gomez also finished well for GWU in the 100 fly placing in sixth from a time of 50.72, while Andrew Knudsen earned the top honors in the "B" final swimming a time of 51.19.
Gardner-Webb collected good times in the 200 medley relay as Connor Bos, Jake Ennis, Gomez, and Lile teamed up to finish second with a time of 1:30.88. John Baker, Austin Toney, Knudsen, and Nicholas Dyer also joined forces earning the Runnin' Bulldogs a fifth-place finish in the same event via a time of 1:34.16.
Bos would go on to place third in the 100 back this evening (50.49), while Baker (51.20) and Andrew Linzie (52.55) took home sixth and seventh.
Josh Clarke took home the top spot in the "B" final for the 100 back finishing with a time of 52.79.
The men would close out the finals session this evening with fourth and fifth place finishes in the 800 free relay. Hal McKay, Clarke, Tate Warden, and Cameron Pou swam 6:59.04 for the fourth-place slot, while Bake, Gomez, Linzie, and Mason Hutchinson took home fifth with a time of 6:59.53.
The Gardner-Webb men's swim team will resume the Fall Frenzy Invitational Sunday morning with preliminaries at 10:30 a.m. The three-day event concludes Sunday afternoon with finals at 5 p.m.
