Women’s Basketball Team and Locker Room Upgrade Crowdfunding Project Reaches Goal

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The crowdfunding project created to raise funding for renovations for the Gardner-Webb women's basketball team and locker rooms has surpassed its initial goal of $6,200.
With 20 days left in the project, nearly $6,900 has been donated via generous gifts from almost 40 donors.
"I just want to say thank you to all of our fans and supporters for their generosity," stated Gardner-Webb head coach Rick Reeves. "With the money raised thus far, we can start the process of updating our team and locker rooms to make our facilities more functional and enjoyable for our program. Again, we are very grateful for the support from our fans and the Gardner-Webb community."
The crowdfunding project is being used help fund the first phase of locker room and team room renovations. Current plans include updating the walls with inspirational and attractive graphics, a new ceiling and carpet, as well as new furniture for both rooms.
People can still donate to the project, with the additional monies raised going towards further upgrades for the women's basketball facilities.

Gardner-Webb opens the 2017-18 season this Friday evening, hosting Pfeiffer at 7:00 pm inside Paul Porter Arena.
