
Danny Sullivan Earns CoSIDA Academic All-District Nod

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Senior outfielder Danny Sullivan was named to the Capital One Academic All-District first team on Thursday by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). He will now advance to the ballot for the national Academic All-America team.
Sullivan is one of two Big South Conference student-athletes named to the all-district team from region three, which includes schools from North Carolina, Virginia, and Tennessee.
A computer science major from Denver, N.C., Sullivan has a .314 batting average on the season with 37 RBI. He leads the Big South with 15 home runs and a slugging percentage of .641.
Sullivan currently has a cumulative grade point average of 3.71.
Gardner-Webb has had three Academic All-America selections in program history, with Patrick Graham (second team) making the list in 2016.
The Runnin' Bulldogs return to action Friday evening at Winthrop. The first pitch is set for 7:00 pm, with the game being broadcast live on ESPN 3.
