BOILING SPRINGS – Gardner-Webb head coach
Tim Craft will appear as a guest Subway® Sandwich Artist on Thursday, January 25, at the Boiling Springs Subway restaurant to benefit Coaches vs. Cancer.
Craft will suit up and prepare sandwiches for patrons at the location on 117 East College Avenue in Boiling Springs, N.C., from 12:00 noon until 1:00 pm on Thursday. It is the second-straight year Craft has made an appearance, which is part of a strong common cause – ending cancer.
"We are honored to be a part of this program for the second year in a row and look forward to aiding Subway® and Coaches vs. Cancer in the fight against cancer," said Craft. "We enjoyed great success in the state last winter and encourage everyone in the community to come out, enjoy some good food and donate to a very important cause."
Donations in any amount can be made at the checkout of participating Subway® restaurants through February 28, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the local Coaches vs. Cancer program – which is celebrating 25 years. For more information on Coaches vs. Cancer, visit www.cancer.org.
The Coaches vs. Cancer program is a collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches. Locally, the North Carolina Basketball Coaches Association has joined the effort to promote healthy living, raise awareness and support for the fight against cancer.
Final proceeds from the campaign will be presented during March Madness.
