Women's Golf Ties For Third At 2018 Hound Ears Intercollegiate Tournament

BOONE, N.C. – Gardner-Webb women's golf improved its score by eight strokes on Tuesday to move into a tie for third by the end of the 2018 Hound Ears Intercollegiate tournament.
The 36-hole event saw GWU tie host Appalachian State by the end of Tuesday's round, as the Runnin' Bulldogs shot a 317 for the day. William & Mary shot a sizzling 307 to pull away for the win.
Gardner-Webb had a pair of top-10 finishers individually, as Morgan Laird (77-80-157) tied for sixth and Linnea Hofgren (82-77-159) tied for eighth. Kristen Wong captured a tie for 13th (82-79-161) and Lindsay Koppel (84-81-165) finished tied for 17th.
Allison Chandler (85-86-171) finished in 29th.
Gardner-Webb and Appalachian State each finished only four strokes back of second-place Radford.
