Gardner-Webb Women's Golf Finishes Eighth At 2018 Terrier Intercollegiate

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Gardner-Webb women's golf enjoyed a strong Tuesday at the 2018 Terrier Intercollegiate, pulling into eighth place by the end of the tournament.
The Runnin' Bulldogs shot a 306 on Tuesday, 13 strokes better than Monday's opening round. That put Gardner-Webb well within the top-10 teams and five strokes ahead of ninth-place Presbyterian.
Veteran Morgan Laird (76-76-152) finished in a tie for ninth position for Gardner-Webb individually after leading the way on Monday with a low round of 76. Allison Chandler caught fire on Tuesday, carding a 74 to finish strong in a tie for 23rd.
Kristen Wong (80-79-159) and Linnea Hofgren (82-77-159) finished tied for 38th individually and Lindsay Koppel (83-82-165) finished 63rd.
Gardner-Webb will now turn its attention to the spring championship season, which is set to begin February 24-26 at the Oyster Shuck Match Play in Charleston, S.C.
