
Gardner-Webb Falls To James Madison In 2019 Oyster Shuck Match Play Final

MT. PLEASANT, S.C. – Gardner-Webb women's golf dropped its final round of the 2019 Oyster Shuck Match Play Tuesday, falling by a score of 3.0 to 2.0 in the championship bout with James Madison.
The Runnin' Bulldogs went a perfect 2-0 on Monday along with James Madison.
Gardner-Webb picked up wins in the No. 2 and No. 3 spots on Tuesday, with Allison Chandler (1UP) defeating Lauren Comegys and Linnea Hofgren (4&3) taking down Katie Turk.
The Dukes got a 6&5 win from Kate Owens at No. 1 and saw Jordan McKelvin (3&2) and Carly Lyvers (9&8) take wins at No. 4 and No. 5 to seal the team win.
Gardner-Webb will take a two week break before getting back to action in a traditional tournament format. The Runnin' Bulldogs will head up I-26 to play in the French Broad Intercollegiate on March 15-17.
The tournament, hosted by UNC Asheville, will be played on the Cliffs at Walnut Cove course.
