BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Clinching the doubles point and winning three singles matches propelled the Gardner-Webb's men's tennis squad to a 4-3 win over the Wofford Terriers on Wednesday.

The victory snaps a six-game skid for the Runnin' Bulldogs, who improve to 7-14 overall. The Terriers fell to 9-5.

"Our doubles matches set the tone," said head coach Mike Griffith. "We jumped out on them (Wofford) at No. 1 and No. 2 and competed at No. 3, which got the momentum going for the whole day. "Winning is huge. With us preparing for Radford and the conference tournament, this helps with our morale and confidence as we head into the final stretch of the season. I was proud of Millen Hurrion and Stefano Puga for sealing the deal in their matches."

Maximilian Scholl and Hurrion started the day by winning at No. 1 doubles for GWU, 6-4. After falling in the No. 3 flight, Michael Perry and Breno Plentz clinched the doubles point for the Runnin' Bulldogs with a 6-4 win at No. 2
