BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The Gardner-Webb baseball team has been recognized for its achievements in the classroom, earning the 2017-18 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award.
 
The award honors programs that are coached by ABCA members that post a grade point average of 3.0 or better for the academic year.  GWU posted a 3.27 team GPA for the 2017-18 year.
 
The Runnin' Bulldogs have been recognized each of the three years of the award's existence, and are among 46 NCAA Division I programs to be recognized for the 2017-18 year.
