Runnin’ Bulldogs Set Several New Personal Records at Royals XC Challenge Friday Afternoon

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Four new personal records were set by the Gardner-Webb men's and women's cross country teams as the Runnin' Bulldogs took part in the Royals Cross Country Challenge, hosted by Queens University at McApline Park on Friday afternoon.
The event began with the women's 5k race, which saw Sandra Bolstad pace the 'Dogs with a time of 20.32.3. Hannah Jones followed closely, clocking in at 20:40.6. Faith Parandhamaia set a new PR with a time of 21:13.7, while Courtney Kanetzke finished at 22:37.7, and Logan McGuirt timed in at 23:09.1
The men ran the 8K course, led by Patrick Sastre who completed the course in 28:06.5. Mitchell Brown timed in at 28:36.2, while Joe Waller finished with a personal-best time of 29:15.3. Bogdan Podgaisky set a new PR, clocking in at 31:30.2, and Cole Ray finished with a personal-best time of 34:41.2.
Gardner-Webb returns to action on Friday, October 18, taking part in the VertCross Invitational, hosted by High Point University in High Point, N.C.
