BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – RJ Mosley placed fourth at 165 pounds and Roderick Davis finished sixth at 197 pounds as Gardner-Webb took part in the Roadrunner Open on Sunday afternoon at the Icardo Center in Bakersfield, Calif.
 
Mosley opened the day with an 18-0 tech fall win over San Francisco State's Troy Mantanona.  After falling by a narrow 5-3 margin to Fresno State's Adam Kemp in the following round, Mosley rattled off three straight wins, including pinning Fresno State's Angel Solis in 2:10.  Mosley would drop the third-place match by medical forfeit to host CSU-Bakersfield's Jacob Thalin.

Davis' day began by putting San Francisco State's John Chetwynd's shoulders to the mat in 1:17.  After falling in the next round, Davis picked up three consecutive wins, defeating Menlo's Hunter Priest by a 12-0 major decision, Fresno State's Dan Salas by a 3-2 decision, and Arizona State's Jacob Good by an 8-2 decision.  Davis would drop his following two bouts, including the fifth-place match to Columbia's Sam Wustefeld.
 
Also earning multiple wins on the day for the Runnin' Bulldogs were Taylor Parks at 157 pounds and Christian Salter at 184 pounds.
 
Gardner-Webb returns to action on Friday, December 6^th, taking on both George Mason and LIU Post in dual action in Fairfax, Va.
