BOONE, N.C. – RJ Mosley and Taylor Parks each placed Saturday afternoon, earning fifth and sixth-place finishes respectively to lead Gardner-Webb at the 2019 Mountaineer Invitational, taking place at Appalachian State's Varsity Gym.
 
Mosley brought home a fifth-place result at 165 pounds, going 2-2 on the day with wins over Duke's Ben Anderson and Central Michigan's Dustin Gross.
 
Parks was 2-3 on the day at 157 pounds to earn a sixth-place finish.  He earned wins over teammates Evan Schenk and Austin Reames.
 
Brandon Bright was 1-2 at 141 pounds with a decision over Kent State's Cory Simpson and Samuel Mora was 1-2 at 174 pounds with a win over teammate Joshua Walker.
 
The Runnin' Bulldogs had a handful of competitors wrestle unattached in the Open division, with Will Edmistion at 133 pounds, Jacob Conrad at 157 pounds, and Anthony Perrine at 285 pounds each going undefeated to place first in their respective weight classes.
 
Gardner-Webb will head towards the west coast for its next action, taking on California Baptist in a dual meet on Saturday, November 23^rd in Riverside, Calif, before taking part in the Road Runner Open on Sunday, November 24 in Bakersfield, Calif.
