FAIRFAX, Va. – Gardner-Webb picked up six individual wins on the day, but would fall to George Mason, 36-10, and Long Island, 24-18, at the Patriot Duals on Friday afternoon.
 
The Runnin' Bulldogs opened their day by squaring off against George Mason.  Freshman Will Edmiston downed Talha Farooq by a 12-4 major decision at 125 pounds and senior Roderick Davis pinned Ramses Montalvo in 1:19 at 197 pounds, but those would be GWU's only two wins in the opening dual as the 'Dogs fell by a 36-10 margin.
 
GWU turned around to square off against Long Island in its last dual bout of the day.  Edmiston picked up another win on the day, this time at 133 pounds by forfeit.  Davis earned another victory as well at 197 pounds with a narrow 5-3 decision over Mark Malico.  RJ Mosley put Jesse Weiner's shoulders to the mat at 3:19 at 165 pounds and freshman Samuel Mora picked up an 8-3 decision over James Langan at 174 pounds.  Gardner-Webb would fall by a six-point margin to LIU, 24-18.
 
Gardner-Webb returns to action tomorrow morning, taking part in the Patriot Open, hosted by George Mason.  The tournament begins at 10:00 am in Fairfax, Va.
