Women's Golf Takes 14th At Low Country Intercollegiate In Hilton Head

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Gardner-Webb trimmed 13 shots off its opening round, carding a team score of 318 over the final 18 holes to finish 14th at the 2019 Low Country Intercollegiate.
The tournament, hosted by Wofford, was played on the 5,836-yard (Par 72) Moss Creek Plantation course in Hilton Head, S.C.
The Runnin' Bulldogs finished eight strokes behind Brown and a strong 25 strokes in front of The Citadel in the team standings. Navy won the tournament, nipping Bethune-Cookman by four strokes.
Allison Chandler led Gardner-Web (82-78-160), finishing in a tie for 36th individually. Kristen Wong (84-78-162) was two strokes back in 46th.
Lindsay Koppel (82-81-163), Linnea Hofgren (84-81-165) and Morgan Laird (83-90-173) rounded out Gardner-Webb's group.
The Runnin' Bulldogs will get back to action on Monday, March 25 at the French Broad Intercollegiate.
