Craft Shows Off Culinary Skills At Subway® Again To Support Coaches vs. Cancer

BOILING SPRINGS – Gardner-Webb head coach Tim Craft served patrons sandwiches and other items at Subway® on Monday as part of the annual partnership between the restaurant chain and Coaches vs. Cancer.

Craft, spent the lunch hour working as a sandwich artist for the third year in a row, making sandwiches, salads and other items for customers at the Boiling Springs Subway® location at 117 East College Avenue.

"This is a very worthy cause and I am honored to be a part of it," said Craft. "Our partnership with the American Cancer Society, Coaches vs. Cancer and Subway® has been very successful in raising money and awareness for a wonderful cause over the past three years. I'm happy to do it."

As they ordered food, patrons were encouraged to make a donation on Monday, which is also World Cancer Day (Feb. 4), with 100 percent of those gifts going to support Coaches vs. Cancer.

The public is invited to visit any participating Subway® restaurant in to make a donation of any amount at the checkout to Coaches vs. Cancer. The campaign runs through February, with all contributions going to support the American Cancer Society local support programs, education and research.

Final proceeds will be presented during the annual NABC Convention.

The Coaches vs. Cancer program is a collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches. Locally, the North Carolina Basketball Coaches Association has joined the effort to promote healthy living, raise awareness and support for the fight against cancer.
