
Mintz, Snover Earn CCSA Swimmer of the Week Honors

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Gardner-Webb swimming took home both Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) swimming weekly honors, as Jordan Mintz was named Men's Swimmer of the Week and Jessi Snover was named Women's Swimmer of the Week for their part in Gardner-Webb's wins over Davidson this past weekend, announced today by the CCSA.
Mintz (Jr. / Fuquay-Varina, N.C.) set a pair of new Bost Pool records this past Saturday, timing in at 57.31 seconds in the 100-yard breaststroke and 2:05.21 in the 200-yard breaststroke. He also had a second place finish in the 200-yard IM with a time of 1:57.14 and was part of the winning 200-yard medley relay team, with a split time of 25.85 seconds.
Snover (So. / Greer, S.C.) placed first in both the 100-yard freestyle and 100-yard butterfly with times of 53.67 seconds and 58.46 seconds respectively. In the 200-yard medley relay, she had a split of 26.19 seconds and in the 400-yard freestyle relay, she posted a split of 53.59 seconds.
The Runnin' Bulldogs have now taken home three CCSA Swimmer of the Week award this season, as Cullen Fields was named the men's top performer for the week of October 1-7.
Gardner-Webb is currently preparing for the CCSA Swimming and Diving Championships, which will take place February 20-23 in Lynchburg, Va.
