MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Gardner-Webb saw its three-game win streak snapped, falling on the road by a 20-8 score at Robert Morris Wednesday afternoon.
The Runnin' Bulldogs (3-3) played tight through the first 25 minutes, but saw Robert Morris use a 5-0 run that spanned halftime to go up 10-4 with 29:43 left in the game.

Lauren Deaver goal with 26:36 left trimmed the lead to 10-5, but Robert Morris responded with three straight. Each time the Runnin' Bulldogs made a push, the Colonels responded with brief runs.
The hosts scored the final four goals of the match to pull away over the final 10:21.
Abby Hanscom collected four goals and three assists in a fine offensive performance, proving efficient on just five shots. Gardner-Webb also got goals from Deaver,
Jada Preston,
Eilish Gately and
Hannah Smith.
Gately added four ground balls and Tori Birds came through with a team-high five draw controls.
Robert Morris got six goals from Melanie Gandy and three assists from Mackenzie Gandy. Christianson came off the bench to score three goals and three different Colonels scored two each.
Gardner-Webb will be back in action on Friday afternoon at home, hosting No. 13 Denver (6-1) at 3:00 pm in Ernest W. Spangler Stadium.
