Clary was walked to lead off the frame and scored on a base hit by Ben Rowdon.  RBI singles by Ben LaSpaluto and Justin Kunz set the score at 4-0 with one out, and a double by Chandler Redmond and intentional walk to Corey Howard loaded the bases for JP McGuire, who would reach via a walk to drive in an additional run.

Mitch McLendon followed with a RBI single to leave the bases loaded for Clary, who belted the first pitch he saw well past the left field fence for the first grand slam of his collegiate career, giving GWU a 10-0 lead.

UNC Asheville got on the board in the top of the fifth on a two-run home run by Brandon Lankford.

Clary led off the bottom of the sixth inning with another home run to left field, his second of the day and fourth of the season to set the score at 11-2.
