JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Gardner-Webb redshirt-senior Natasha Akbarizadeh finished 20^th overall in the women's hammer throw at the 2019 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field East Region Preliminary Round at Hodges Stadium in Jacksonville, Fla.
 
Her season finishes with a mark of 59.77 meters.
 
Akbarizadeh completed a stellar 2019 season in which she took home the Big South Conference title in the hammer throw with a GWU-record distance of 63.92 meters.  She also earned a spot on the 2019 Big South All-Academic team.
