BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Gardner-Webb's Brandon Bright picked up a big win at 141 pounds Friday, but the Runnin' Bulldogs fell by a 43-5 team score to No. 19 Campbell in SoCon wrestling action inside Paul Porter Arena.
 
Action began 174 pounds, where Evan Schenk fell by a narrow 3-0 decision to Austin Kraisser, followed by a fall at 184 pounds to give the Camels and early 9-0 lead.
 
Roderick Davis fell by a slim 3-0 margin at 197 pounds to Chris Kober, and Campbell followed with pins at 285 and 133 pounds, with a major decision at 125 pounds, to put GWU in a 28-0 hole.
 
At 141 pounds, Bright made quick work of Campbell's Kyle Sams with a dominate tech fall, picking up 15 unanswered points in just 3:07.
 
The Camels would pick back up with a fall at 149 pounds and would take the final two matches at 157 and 165 pounds.
 
Gardner-Webb returns to action on Wednesday, February 5 at Duke.  Action is set to begin at 7:00 pm with live coverage on ACC Network Extra.
