Runnin' Bulldogs Return Home Monday To Host Campbell at 5:00 PM

After a sudden change to the league schedule due to COVID complications at another school, Gardner-Webb will now host Campbell on Monday and Tuesday in its home Big South Conference opening series. The two schools were originally scheduled to play on December 4-5, then moved to January 29-30. Games this week will tip at 5:00 pm (Monday) and 3:00 pm (Tuesday), with Fabian Fuentes and former Penn State head coach Jerry Dunn on the call.

NOTABLE

•   Gardner-Webb has seen seven games postponed and two cancelled since November 25. Two of the games – against Campbell
    – have been rescheduled twice. GWU was supposed to host Charleston Southern and Campbell was to visit High Point before
High Point paused team activities. The Big South adjusted its schedule throughout the day on January 1 to make things work.

•   Gardner-Webb has played at least 10 men in each of its four games, by design, as the coaching staff attempts to build depth
and confidence heading into Big South Conference play.

•   Tim Craft is the third coach in Gardner-Webb history to reach 100 career wins in six seasons. The Tallahassee, Fla., native
joined Hall of Famers Eddie Holbrook  (141) and Jim Wiles (103) on that list when GWU rallied for an 87-74 overtime win
against Hampton on January 19, 2019 in Paul Porter Arena.

•   Under Craft, the Runnin' Bulldogs have not endured a losing season in Big South Conference play in his seven seasons. Craft
is 72-52 in the Big South, reaching at least 10 wins in six of his seven seasons so far.

•   Gardner-Webb will be without the services of leading scorer Lance Terry vs. Campbell. The College
Park, Ga., native ranks fifth in the Big South in scoring and leads the circuit in both free throw and three-point percentage. He
is coming off of back-to-back scoring outings that resulted in career highs vs. Florida State (23) and Hampton (26).

•  Gardner-Webb freshman wing Anthony Selden's windmill dunk early in the second half at Hampton on New Year's Eve wound
up as the No. 2 play on ESPN SportsCenter's Top 10  – the show's 39th season and first episode of 2021. Selden is the second
member of his family – joining former Kansas star and older brother Wayne Selden – to have a dunk appear on #SCTop10.

•   Gardner-Webb has made at least 11 three-pointers in four of its seven games to date, shooting above 39 percent in five of
its seven outings from long distance.

•   The trio of Lance Terry, Jaheam Cornwall and Jacob Falko have combined to make 37-of-37 free throws over the last four
    games this season.

•   Freshman guard D'Maurian Williams came off the bench to score a season-high 17 points in 23 minutes at ETSU. The
Phoenix, Ariz., sharpshooter drained 4-of-8 shots from downtown. Williams won a prep school national title last season at
    Putnam Science (Conn.) Academy.

•  Jaheam Cornwall ranked No. 6 nationally in three-point accuracy last season, shooting 44.4 percent on 196 chances (87-of-196) and is a career 42.0 percent
shooter from long range for his career. Cornwall is off to a slow start from long distance on the road this season (30.2 percent), but made 4-of-7 shots
from deep (57.1 percent) in this season's lone home game vs. VMI.

•  Head coach Tim Craft and his staff have a class of nine newcomers on board for the 2020-2021 season, the largest class
assembled during his time in charge at Gardner-Webb. Four of the newcomers are true freshmen, three more are redshirt
freshmen who sat out last season and two are junior college transfers. One of the true freshmen, Tyrone Simos-Primerano
didn't arrive on campus until late December from Australia due to COVID-19 international travel restrictions.

•  Kareem Reid, a preseason All-Big South choice down low, made 6-of-7 shots to tie a career-high with 13 points in Thursday's
80-69 win at Hampton. The Queens, N.Y., native has made 10-of-15 shots over his last four games (66.7 percent) and is quickly
turning into a quality scoring option in the paint and off the glass.
