Men’s Soccer Falls To Radford On The Road, 3-2

Box Score RADFORD, Va. – The Gardner-Webb men's soccer team took on Radford University on the road on Saturday night. The Highlanders topped the 'Dogs in a 3-2 matchup.
 
Cole Sanfilippo and Ryan Madondo each scored a goal for the Red and Black. Sanfilippo scored in the 30 minute of a pass from Samuel Catherall, and Madondo scored in the 73 minute of a touch from teammate Owen Zaldivar.
 
GWU paced the matchup in shots with eight, five of which were on goal. RU took just two less and had three shots on goal.
 
The 'Dogs also led the game in corner kick opportunities with eight, Radford took just a pair of corners.
 
Twenty-four fouls were awarded throughout the 90 minutes of gameplay, which were split evenly on both sides of the ball.
 
Five yellow cards were given during the game, the lone Gardner-Webb card was given to Abdul Manaf Amadu at the 49:12 mark. Amadu was given a red card later in the game at the 89:53 mark, which makes him ineligible for the next game.
 
 The 'Dogs will be back in action on Saturday, October 30th as they travel to Clinton, South Carolina to take on Presbyterian College. The match is slated to start at 7 pm.
