Men's Golf Captures Second At 2021 Radford Invitational

RADFORD, Va. – Gardner-Webb men's golf took second place at the 36-hole Highlander Invitational on Monday in the New River Valley.
The one-day event was held on the Pete Dye River Course of Virginia Tech.
Host Radford shot a 569 (-7) to finish first, with Gardner-Webb (585, +9) beating out Longwood and Appalachian State in the team standings.
The Runnin' Bulldogs had a quintet of top-20 individual finishes, led by Miles Albright, who fired rounds of 74 and 71 to finish one-over par (145) and in a tie for 12th.
Zack Byers (74-73-147) finished 17th and the duo of Jake Scruggs (71-77-148) and Max White (70-78-148) tied for 18th. Jules Bondi (74-75-149) was one stroke back in a tie for 20th position.
The men will head to Elon, N.C., next weekend for the Phoenix Invitational on October 11.
