RALEIGH, N.C. – Gardner-Webb wrestled its second top-10 national squad of the season on Thursday, falling 45-(-1) at No. 6 NC State.

The Wolfpack had seven wrestlers compete who were ranked in their respective weight classes nationally. Fifth-ranked Jakob Camacho started with a pin at 125 pounds before Gardner-Webb's Todd Carter fought hard in an 11-5 loss at 133 pounds.

Trevon Majette battled well against No. 18 Ryan Jack at 141 pounds before falling 5-3.

The Wolfpack picked up bonus points in each of the next seven bouts to go up 42-0 and Deonte Wilson capped the match with an 11-4 decision over Peyton McComas at 285.

The Runnin' Bulldogs return home for their next match, hosting Big Ten foe Michigan State on December 11 in Paul Porter Arena. The match is set to begin at 6:00 pm and will stream live on ESPN+.
