BOILING SPRING, N.C. – Gardner-Webb fell to Wofford on a windy Monday afternoon to fall to 0-2 on the season. The loss marks the second 4-3 defeat for the team this season.
 
The day started with Wofford winning 6-1  in the #2 doubles match against Gardner-Webb's Valentine Limauge and Manon Delsol. Wofford clinched the doubles point after in the #3 flight defeating Elin Hellberg and Maria Jardim 6-4. The doubles matches concluded with Miljana Ristic and Daniela Naupari winning in the #1 position 7-6 (5).
 
In singles action, Hellberg lost 6-4, 6-3 in the #3 singles match. In the #5 match, Jardim secured the first point for the Runnin' Bulldogs with a 6-3, 6-2 victory. M. Ristic lost in the #1 flight 7-6 (4), 6-4. Naupari won 7-6 (7), 6-0 in the #2 position.
 
Wofford clinched the match with Brittney Wilbur's win in the #6 singles over Limauge 7-6 (8), 6-3. The day concluded with Delsol winning the three-set match in the #4 flight 6-3, 3-6, 6-3.
 
Next up for the Runnin' Bulldogs is a home match against UNC Wilmington with a start scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
