FARMVILLE, Va. – Gardner-Webb (1-2,1-1) Women's Soccer fell to Big South Conference opponent Longwood (1-0-1, 1-0-1) on Sunday afternoon. The final score in the match was 3-nil, Longwood.
The Lancers scored just eleven minutes into the game, as Alex Dinger scored off of an assist by Kennedy Culbreath. There was no scoring action seen until later in the second half, until Culbreath and Lockhamy scored two more to seal the win for Longwood.
In goal for GWU,
Katelyn Kellogg logged a full game of match play, and had a total of seven saves. With one in the first, and the other six in the second half.
Over the 90 minutes of match play the Runn' Bulldogs only managed to take six shots, with only one shot on goal. The lone shot on goal came from
Maddie Turlington in the 19
th minute.
