Zaldivar Named Big South Men's Soccer Offensive Player of The Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Gardner-Webb sophomore midfielder/forward Owen Zaldivar (Lawndale, Calif.) has been named the Big South Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
Zaldivar scored both of Gardner-Webb's goals in the Runnin' Bulldogs' 2-1 Big South victory over Presbyterian on Sunday. He netted his first score at the 21:01 mark to put GWU ahead 1-0. With the score tied at 1-1, Zaldivar converted a penalty kick at 44:57 for the eventual game-winner.
Gardner-Webb Men's Soccer will be back in action on Sunday March 21st, as they travel to Rock Hill to take on Winthrop. Kickoff is slated for 6:00 PM.
