Gardner-Webb Men's Golf Wraps Up Regular Season At Wofford Invitational

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Gardner-Webb finished ninth at the 2021 Wofford Men's Golf Invitational, played at the Country Club of Spartanburg on Monday and Tuesday.
The Runnin' Bulldogs finished one stroke behind Big South foe USC Upstate and one shot in front of Eastern Kentucky. Georgia State won the team title by 12 strokes.
Zack Byers (76-70-71) overcame a tough first round to shoot back-to-back rounds under par. The Shelby, N.C., native finished 15th individually.
Miles Albright (73-75-70) carded a final round of two-under par to finish one stroke off of Byers' pace in 20th.
Jake Kehoe (75-72-78) finished 50th, Braden Smith (80-70-79) finished 63rd and Jules Bondil (79-77-79) finished 71st.
Up next for the Runnin' Bulldogs is the 2021 Big South Conference Championship in Ninety Six, S.C.. That 54-hole event begins on Sunday at the Patriot Golf Club at Grand Harbor.
