BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.- Gardner-Webb is set to host Campbell in an important Big South Conference series this weekend at Bill Masters Field at John Henry Moss Stadium.
 
Gardner-Webb (13-14, 12-6 Big South) enters the weekend after splitting its midweek contests, earning a 5-4 win in 13 innings over league foe Winthrop on Tuesday before falling to UNCG, 9-0, Wednesday night.
 
Campbell (16-10, 11-6 Big South) comes to Boiling Springs after a 14-7 loss at Duke on Tuesday night.
 
Gardner-Webb opened Big South play this season at Campbell on March 5, taking the Friday night matchup, 6-2, before dropping both games the following day, 7-3 and 14-6.  Mason Miller had his most dominant outing of the season in the Friday night win, fanning 13 batters while allowing just two runs on three hits in seven innings of work, while Keiji Parkhurst was 3-for-5 with a double, a home run, and three RBI to pace GWU at the plate.
 
Miller leads the Runnin' Bulldogs on the mound this season, totaling 50 strikeouts in 43.2 innings, forging a 3.50 ERA with a 3-1 record.  He ranks third in the Big South in strikeouts (50) and sixth in batting average allowed (.214).
 
Joe Simone currently paces GWU at the plate with a.298 batting average, totaling 28 base hits, including six doubles and one triple. Parkhurst leads the team with five home runs and 17 RBI.
 
Ryan Chasse leads the Camels on the mound with a 2.84 ERA in seven starts, fanning 37 batters in 38.0 innings of the work, posting a 3-2 record.
 
Spencer Packard leads Campbell at the dish with a .381 batting average and a team-high 32 base hits and 33 RBI. Connor Denning and Matthew Christian each have a team-high six home runs.
 
The three-game series begins Friday evening at 5:00 pm, and finishes Saturday with a doubleheader beginning at 1:00 pm.  All three games will be broadcast on ESPN+ (WatchESPN.com / ESPN App).
