BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – On Tuesday afternoon Gardner-Webb Softball kicked off game one against Campbell in their finale home series at Brinkley Stadium. Gardner-Webb dropped the game 3-0, Campbell.
Kayla Howald took the win from the circle for the Camels, throwing for five total innings she had two walks and five total strikeouts.
For the Runnin' Bulldog's,
Brooke Perry took her tenth loss of the season. Perry worked a total of four innings, allowing seven hits, three runs, and a single strikeout.
Pitching the remaining three innings of the game for Gardner-Webb,
Andrea Lyon pitched the three remaining innings, allowing just two hits and fanning five total batters.
Campbell paced the game in hits with a total of nine, Destini England led the Camel's by going 4-for-4 at the plate in tonight's game. Gardner-Webb had just four hits in the matchup. As

Meredith Ferguson, and
Trinity Sterrett each had one apiece.
The Camel's secured the win in tonight's game in the fourth inning, as Sterling Hairston hit a 2RBI single, allowing two of her teammates to cross home plate, eventually forcing Gardner-Webb to take the loss.
Gardner-Webb Softball will be back in action tomorrow April 7
th, as they take on Campbell in doubleheader action at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM.
