DAVIDSON, N.C. – Gardner-Webb prevailed in a 4-3 decision on Tuesday to move back to .500. This match marked the end of the non-conference season for the Runnin' Bulldogs. 
 
In the doubles matches, Davidson won the #1 flight over Miljana Ristic and Teodora Ristic, 6-3. Gardner-Webb bounced back to win the #2 and #3 positions and clinch the decisive doubles point. Elin Hellberg and Maria Jardim won on the #3 court, 6-3. The point came down to the score at #2, and Valentine Limauge and Manon Delsol got the 7-5 decision to give the Runnin' Bulldogs the early lead.
 
Singles matches started with the Wildcats winning the top position 6-1, 6-1 over M. Ristic. Jardim got the lead back for the 'Dogs with her victory at #5, 6-1, 6-2. To tie the match, Davidson defeated Limauge 6-3, 6-2.
 
The overall decision for the day came down to the matches on 2, 3, 4. T. Ristic put Gardner-Webb a point away from clinching the win after her triumph at #3 6-1, 6-1. Hellberg secured the win after her victory in the #4 flight 6-3, 7-5. The day ended with Delsol dropping her match at #2 4-6, 7-5, 11-9.
 
The Runnin' Bulldogs return to action on April 10 for an away match at Radford. The season concludes on April 13 against Campbell at the Webb Tennis Complex at 3:00 p.m. Gardner-Webb is currently 5-5 on the season and stands at 2-2 in Big South play.
