CHARLOTTE – The Big South Conference announced the 2022 Preseason All-Big South Team on Tuesday afternoon.
Gardner-Webb's
Heather Lobas was selected to the roster as an at-large selection. Lobas votes to the Big South All-Conference Second-Team after starting all 14 games with the Runnin' Bulldogs. She caused 23 turnovers and had 17 groundballs during the 2021 season.
This marks the second time in school history that Gardner-Webb has had a player selected to the Preseason All-Conference Team. The first was
Talen Francis in 2021 as an at-large selection.
High Point's Abby Hormes was chosen as the Preseason Offensive Player of the Year, and Kimora Bailey of Winthrop as the Defensive Player of the Year.
