THE OPENING TIP
  •  Gardner-Webb snapped its three-game skid its last time out as the Runnin' Bulldogs took a 7-5 lead and never trailed again en route to a 61-55 road win at UNC Asheville.
  • GWU held Asheville to 55 points, the least of any Division I opponent against the 'Dogs this season. The 61 points scored by GWU were also the least scored in a win this season and marks the lowest points scored in any win since downing Presbyterian 59-53 on Feb. 4 of last season.
  • D'Maurian Williams scored 21 points for his fifth 20+ point performance this season, while Lance Terry added 11 to notch his 13th-straight game in double figures and his 18th this season.
  • Ludovic Dufeal recorded a career-high four steals at Asheville, while Zion Williams tied a season-high with five assists and Anthony Selden matched a career-high with two steals in his first start of the season (fourth of career).
  • Coach Tim Craft registered his 50th career road win at Asheville. His career record now stands at 148-131 as he looks to become the eighth coach in Big South history to reach 150 wins.
  • GWU's three conference losses have all come against the current top three teams in the Big South. Longwood and Winthrop each lead their respective divisions, while Upstate sits second in the South.
  • GWU has shot a higher field-goal percentage than its opponent in all 10 of its wins. However, the 'Dogs are 0-8 when opponents shoot better than field.
  • GWU has also outrebounded its opponent in all 10 wins, but checks in at 0-7 on the year when getting outrebounded.
  • The Runnin' Bulldogs rank 22nd in the nation in defensive field-goal percentage (39.4%) and 12th in the nation in defensive 3-point percentage (28.0%). GWU is also 25th in Division I in blocks per game (5.2).
