HIGH POINT, N.C. – Winners of two in a row, Gardner-Webb will put its streak on the line Wednesday, February 2 when the Runnin' Bulldogs travel to High Point seeking the program's first 6-3 start to league play in 14 seasons as a member of the Big South. Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m. inside the Qubein Center.
 
The midweek clash will be the 63^rd all-time between the Runnin' Bulldogs and Panthers, with the winner poised to take a one-game advantage in the all-time series. The two teams enter Wednesday with the all-time series tied at 31-31. While HPU won both contests in Boiling Springs last season, GWU is 6-4 against High Point in the last 10 and 10-8 against the Panthers under head coach Tim Craft.
 
Gardner-Webb has shut down its opponents in the last two games, holding UNC Asheville to 55 points and Radford to only 42, the lowest point total allowed by the 'Dogs in almost 11 years dating back to February 26, 2011.
 
High Point is coming off a 77-72 defeat to Campbell on Saturday afternoon. Zack Austin led the way for HPU with a career-high 21 points and seven rebounds on the day, while Alex Holt finished with 18 points, but the Panthers saw their two-game winning streak snapped following victories over both Winthrop and Radford in their two games prior.
