BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Women's Tennis dropped its Sunday night match at Elon to fall to 1-3 on the season. The final score was 4-0 in Elon's favor.
Elon clinched the doubles point behind quick decisions on the No 1 and 3 courts to gain an early 1-0 lead. The #2 position was unfinished with GWU's pair of
Teodora Ristic and
Maria Jardim trailing 5-4 at its conclusion.
Elon got quick straight-set wins on the first three singles matches to clinch the team's win. Alison O'Dea defeated
Courtney Fyvie on court 6 for the clinch on a 6-1, 6-2 decision.
Gardner-Webb will return to the courts on Saturday, February 19 at UNC Wilmington.
