CLEMSON, S.C. - Gardner-Webb softball took a road trip on Tuesday afternoon to face ACC foe #14 Clemson University, where the Tigers defeated the Runnin' Bulldogs. The final score was 6-0 in favor of Clemson.

HOW IT HAPPENED
 
Taking the loss for Gardner-Webb, Andrea Lyon (1-5) took the loss from the circle. The Junior pitched a total of six innings, allowing six runs, five walks, one strikeout, and hitting a single batter. 
 
Araceli Pesqueira and Lyon each had a single hit in today's game against the tigers. During GWU's at-bat, there were 13 strikeouts and just four runners left on base.

Runnin' Bulldogs Softball will be back in action on Friday, March 4, as they are set to face the University at Buffalo (11 a.m.) and Marist College (1 p.m.) to open the Southeastern Louisiana Softball Tournament.
