CLINTON, S.C. – Gardner-Webb softball dropped the series finale matchup against Presbyterian College on Sunday Afternoon at the PC Softball Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED
GWU got off to a hot start, as
Andrea Lyon smacked a Two RBI homer over the left field fence, allowing
Abbey Goodrum to also come home. Later on in the third,
Araceli Pesqueira hit a single to second base, allowing
Katie Mitchell to score. During Gardner-Webb's next at-bat,
Katie Mitchell hit a single down the third base line, sending McKenize Lawrence home to account for the 'Dogs fourth run of the day.
Over the course of five innings the Blue Hose managed to put up 13 runs to take the win.
Andrea Lyon (6-11) took the loss in the circle. Pitching a total of 5.0 innings, Lyon allowed 14 hits, 13 runs, and struck out seven batters.
