Gardner-Webb Women's Golf Earns No. 4 Seed For 2022 Big South Championship

NINETY SIX, S.C. – Gardner-Webb earned the No. 4 seed for the 2022 Big South Women's Golf Championship, and will begin its quest for the title on Wednesday afternoon.
The tournament will be played at The Patriot Golf Club at Grand Harbor once again. The par 72, 6,297-yard layout has been a friendly course for Gardner-Webb, with the team finishing second in last year's tournament.
Head Coach Tee Burton's group has a tee time of 1:30 pm and will begin on the fifth hole as part of the tournament's shotgun start. The Runnin' Bulldogs will be paired with No. 5 High Point and No. 6 Longwood on Wednesday. GWU enters the event with a GolfStat national ranking of No. 174.
A three-day, 54-hole stroke play tournament will run from Wednesday through Friday, April 15, followed by a semifinal and final match play round on April 16. The top four team finishers from stroke play will advance to match play.
