FARMVILLE, Va. – The Gardner-Webb softball team dropped both games of the doubleheader against Longwood on Saturday, falling by a combined total of eight runs.

Game One: Longwood 6, Gardner-Webb 0
Over the course of four innings the Lancers put up six runs, with half coming during their at-bat in the fifth.
Andrea Lyon (8-15) took the loss in the circle for Gardner-Webb. She pitched a total of four innings, allowed seven hits, three runs, while walking and striking out two batters.
Game Two: Longwood 2, Gardner-Webb 0
Gardner-Webb only allowed Longwood to put up two runs, which came early on in the game.

Sydney Gilbert (5-8) took the loss in the circle for Gardner-Webb. She threw a total of six frames, allowing six hits and two runs, while striking out a single batter.
