HIGH POINT, N.C. – Gardner-Webb track and field wrapped up the final day of action at the 2022 Big South Outdoor Track and Field Championship on Wednesday evening.
In the men's 400-meter run,
Chase Thornhill placed fifth with a time of 46.69 seconds at the finish.
As for the men's 800-meter run,
Patrick Sastre placed eighth overall, clocking in a time of 1:58.39 at the finish.
The men's squad placed sixth in the 4x400-meter relay, clocking in a time of 3:14.82 at the finish.
The women's squad placed seventh in the 4x400-meter relay, clocking in a time of 4:08.80 at the finish.
Khalilah Conway hit a personal best mark of 1.60 meters in the women's high jump.
As for the men's high jump,
Cameron Donoghue placed eighth by hitting a height of 1.86 meters.
In the women's discus,
Karmen Taylor placed fifth by hitting a mark of 44.71 meters, which is a new top-two all-time program record.
Jaden Finch took eighth-place with a mark of 43.02 meters.
Autumn Drayton placed sixth in the women's javelin by hitting a distance of 38.66 meters.
At the conclusion of the meet, it was announced that
Hannah Mitchell was named to the women's All-Academic Team and
Cameron Donoghue was named to the men's All-Academic Team.
