Siftar and Huffman Pick Up Top-10 Finishes at Eagle Classic

Runnin' Bulldogs finished fourth overall
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Neza Siftar and Ashley Huffman both picked up a pair of top-10 finishes at the Eagle Classic as the Runnin' Bulldogs finished fourth overall on Tuesday, Oct. 3.
After shooting an 11-over 83 and a six-over 78 in the first two rounds, Siftar recovered nicely in the final round, tallying four birdies and shooting a one-under 71 to move up five spots on the leaderboard. The Ljubljana, Slovenia native carded a 16-over, 232 three-round score, finishing just two shots off the lead.
Huffman finished eighth overall, shooting a 21-over, 237. The Ponte Vedra, Fla. native recorded six total birdies through three rounds.
As a team, the Runnin' Bulldogs finished fourth, shooting a 97-over, 961 three-round score. The 'Dawgs shot a 36-over, 324 and a 37-over, 325 in the opening two rounds, before picking up a 24-over, 312 in the final round. Gardner-Webb finished just five strokes out of second place, and finished above Big South foe Presbyterian.
Julia Buchgeher finished just outside the top-10, finishing 13th. The freshman shot a six-over 78 in the second round, on her way to a 27-over, 243 three-round score.
In her first action as a Runnin' Bulldog, Vileska Gelpi finished 28th, shooting a 36-over, 252. Gelpi recorded two birdies in her first round of play on the 15th and 16th holes.
Anna Snoblova finished 32nd after shooting a 40-over, 256. Georgia Barr played as an individual, finishing 34th with a 45-over, 261.
USC Upstate won the team championship, while Melissa Ball of Eckerd won the individual championship.
