Women's Tennis Races by Queens with 6-1 Victory on Wednesday Afternoon

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Gardner-Webb picked up a decisive 6-1 win over Queens on Wednesday afternoon. The victory moves the Runnin' Bulldogs back to .500 on the season as they stand at 3-3.
GWU used new doubles pairings in each of the three matches. They got the first decision of the day with a 6-1 triumph in the topflight in doubles with Manon Delsol and Emilia Roslund. They completed the clinch of the doubles point with Valeria Lloclla and Cayline Le Grange winning 6-3 on court #3. They dropped the match on court #2 by a 7-5 score with Maria Jardim and Courtney Fyvie playing in it.
Elise Semmartin got the first singles point of the day for Gardner-Webb with a 6-2, 6-0 win on court #5 and was followed by Roslund winning 6-1, 6-3 at position #2. The Runnin' Bulldogs had Le Grange clinch the team's win as she won 6-0, 6-3 in position #6.
Queens got their lone point from a close match in the topflight in singles over Delsol. Gardner-Webb went on to win on courts #3 and #4. Jardim won 3-6, 7-5, 10-6 while Lloclla had hers end at 6-4, 6-3.
The Runnin' Bulldogs have their next match on Saturday as they travel to Cullowhee for the start of a three consecutive on the road.
